Girl YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!

This is such an exciting time! Getting ready for your bridal boudoir photoshoot is such a fun part of this whole moment in time and is such an empowering step. It is not just about celebrating your love. It's also about embracing your body, boosting your confidence, and showcasing your femininity. Whether you're surprising your partner with beautiful images or treating yourself, the right preparations can make a huge difference. Here’s my ultimate checklist for a memorable Boise Bridal Boudoir experience!!

1. Let's choose the Perfect Outfits

Selecting outfits is key to your confidence in front of the camera. Aim to bring at least 3-5 different looks that express who you are! I help you with this step in every way that I can but let's break down some good points to think about.

  • Lingerie: Pick pieces that make you feel stunning in. I love a classic bridal white set or a bold set with vibrant colors. For example, a red lace bodysuit paired with a matching garter set can make a statement!

  • Sweaters/Shirts: A sweater or shirt adds a fun layer to your shot. It's perfect for soft, candid captures, and also helps you warm up and get used to the photoshoot setting. I love button ups or crop tops the most for the shirts!

  • Accessories: Remember to pack complementary accessories like garters, necklaces, your veil, or statement earrings. They can highlight your look and add extra charm to your images! And definitely don't forget the ring!

2. Let's get some shoes!

The right heels can elevate your entire outfit. Bring a few pairs that complete your look and we can mix and match at the session!

  • Wedding Heels: Bringing your bridal heels can give your images the pop you are looking for! Plus they can really help boost the length of your legs. Studies show that wearing heels often boosts confidence, which can show in your poses! Plus when your beloved sees these heels, they won't stop thinking about the photos that go with them!

  • Strappy Black Heels: If you want another set of heels to add in for another look, I suggest a simple and slightly strappy black heel! These can match darker sets you bring and allow more diversity in the images.

3. Personal Touches

Props can make your photos feel more personal and meaningful. Adding in these small details can make the whole experience fit your story perfectly.

  • Letters or Keepsakes: Bring along a romantic letter or vow book for your partner or a cherished memento that tells your love story. This can be great for detail shots!

  • Floral Accents: Fresh flowers can brighten up your images. A small bouquet or even petals can be a lovely addition to your shoot, adding vibrant color and life. Ask your florist if this is something they could add to your package!

4. Communication is KEY!

Communication between us is vital. This connection helps you feel at ease, which translates into beautiful photos. I pride myself on making sure the environment is comfortable and we have major girls night out vibes!

  • Discuss Ideas: Share your vision for the shoot. Whether it's a specific theme or mood, clear communication can help us create exactly what you are looking for. I love hearing your ideas and I can suggest ideas that suit your style!

  • Fill out the Questionnaire: I will send you a questionnaire to get to know more about your vision for this session. I highly suggest taking time to fill this out so I can get more in tune with your desires for the final product! This also helps you think of things you might have not thought to bring up with me on your own!

5. Preparing Mentally and Emotionally

Feeling good mentally can boost your confidence on the day of the shoot. Consider these tips to prepare:

  • Self-Care Rituals: On the day of the shoot, indulge in self-care. Whether it’s a soothing bath, meditation, or listening to your favorite playlist, take time to unwind and feel ready. It's girls day and you don't need to be perfect to be worthy of this amazing experience!

  • Positive Affirmations: Remind yourself of your beauty and strength. Saying positive affirmations can help calm nerves before stepping in front of the camera! Remember who the F you are and bring that energy to this session! You are allowed to be CONFIDENT!

6. Quick Final Checklist

Before leaving for your boudoir session, I suggest bringing all of this to the table!

  • Outfits & Accessories: 3-5 outfits, including lingerie and a shirt, along with matching accessories.

  • Personal Touches: Personal items like letters or keepsakes.

  • Confidence: Bring the It-Girl mentality and rock your session with confidence!

Wrapping Up

A bridal boudoir photoshoot is a wonderful way to celebrate self-love, confidence, and the journey toward marriage. With this ultimate checklist, you're all set for an experience you'll cherish forever. Remember, be yourself, enjoy the moment, and trust me—you are going to shine. Embrace the adventure, and let your beauty radiate through the lens!
